Introduction to
MikroTik RouterOS

It is necessary to have a basic knowledge of computer networks, but the most important thing is that you know a little about IP addressing. We will talk about gateways and routers, and knowing the role that an IP address plays is essential.

You can definitely participate in the 2 days of the course using your mobile phone or cell phone. However, you should know that at the end of each chapter all students will have the opportunity to solve the question questionnaires to self-evaluate their acquired knowledge, and it may be difficult for you to perform this action from a smartphone. A computer or tablet is always more recommended.

You are not obliged to answer the question questionnaires at the end of the explanation of each chapter, and you can solve them more calmly when the course ends. But if you are one of those people who like challenges, you can answer the questions and evaluate what you have learned. This can help you clear up doubts and ask the Trainer directly before starting the next chapter.

It is not necessary, however having access to a MikroTik router allows you to practice what you are learning.

This course is aimed at briefly but concisely reviewing the concepts necessary to start learning MikroTik RouterOS, and although 8 hours are dedicated to this training, they are short for the amount of material covered. For this reason, individual laboratories are not carried out since we would extend a lot of time, and the important thing in this first phase is to make the concepts very clear through the Trainer's explanations and the configurations that will be carried out live.

It is not mandatory, however, it is highly recommended that you follow this MAS-ROS course before taking MTCNA especially if you do not have much experience configuring MikroTik routers. And if you are starting to learn MikroTik, this course will be extremely useful as it will resolve many conceptual questions.

Starting in October 2021, it will be necessary to take and pass a MAS-ROS Certification Exam in order to obtain a Certificate. Participation certificates are no longer issued because we seek to increase the technical level and knowledge in networks of the Latin American community. But don't be discouraged, you can repeat the exam (if you don't pass it) and there is no cost.

You automatically have 2 (two) opportunities to take the exam. If for any reason you do not reach the necessary score, you can contact us to activate another opportunity for free. You should not worry about failing the exam, but rather focus on studying and being clear about the concepts.

Starting in August 2021, the certificate is issued immediately in PDF format and generates a QR code that can be consulted online at any time on our training portal.

Your access to the training portal (once you have enrolled) has no time limit, so you can solve the preparation questionnaires as many times as you want. You will also have access to the digital material and all its future updates.

Indeed, you will have access to all future updates made to the study book, the laboratory manual, or the preparation questions. All this at no cost.

The video of the 2 days of this course will be available on our YouTube channel at the end of each day, so you do not need to record it.
