Course Objectives
The NAE-TCP-A02 course focuses on IP Address Architecture, providing a comprehensive understanding of how IP addresses are structured and used in communication networks.
Likewise, we will address essential topics such as Classful addressing, subnet addressing, subnet masks, VLSM, IPv6 addresses, CIDR, aggregation, special use addresses, assignment and the different types of attacks that involve IP addressing.
Chapter 1: Internet Address Architecture
Acquire knowledge about the expression of IP addresses, their basic structure, Classful and subnet addressing, subnet masks, VLSM, Broadcast and IPv6 addresses and interface identifiers.
Chapter 2: CIDR and Aggregation
Understand the concept of prefix in CIDR and how aggregation is used in IP addressing.
Chapter 3: Special Use Direction and Allocation
Become familiar with IPv4/IPv6 address translation, IPv4 and IPv6 multicast addresses, anycast, and unicast and multicast address assignment.
Chapter 4: Unicast Address Assignment and Attacks
Learn about different provider and network configurations, multihoming, and common attacks involving IP addressing.
By the end
Upon completing the NAE-TCP-A02 course, you will be trained to design, implement and manage network solutions that involve IP addresses and their architectures.
In addition, you will be able to apply your knowledge in Classful addressing, CIDR, aggregation, and assignment of unicast, multicast and anycast addresses.
Finally, you will learn about possible attacks related to IP addressing and how to protect your systems and applications from these threats.
