Course Objectives
The overall objective of the UAS-UNI-PDE (WiFi Network Planning and Deployment) course is to provide participants with solid knowledge and practical skills in the planning, implementation and optimization of wireless networks using Ubiquiti UniFi technology.
Chapter 1: Introduction
This Chapter presents an introduction to the Ubiquiti UniFi platform. Additionally, you learn how to access the UniFi Controller, adopt UniFi devices, and monitor the network. Remote controller access and Layer 3 adoption are also addressed.
Chapter 2: Wireless Network Fundamentals
Chapter 2 focuses on the fundamentals of wireless networks, addressing the 802.11 standard, frequency, channel width, transmit power, and antenna gain. This knowledge is essential to understand how WiFi networks work.
Chapter 3: Wireless Network Planning
Key aspects of wireless network planning are explored, including site survey, spectrum analysis, WiFi coverage, and channel assignment. Important concepts such as signal loss, noise, signal-to-noise ratio, and airtime capacity and efficiency are also discussed.
Chapter 4: Wireless Network Deployment
It teaches how to identify and locate devices on plans/maps and presents the WiFi network design tool with UniFi. In addition, advanced topics such as Band Steering, Minimum RSSI and Wireless Uplink are covered to optimize and improve the quality of wireless networks.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be trained to effectively plan and implement UniFi wireless networks, ensuring optimal coverage and performance.
