Course Objectives
The main objective of the MAE-VPN-PPP (PPP Tunnels) course is to provide students with solid knowledge about the implementation and management of PPP tunnels in MikroTik's RouterOS.
Throughout the course, students will learn about different types of tunnels, their characteristics, and how to configure them efficiently in different scenarios.
Chapter 1: Introduction
Familiarize students with the basic concepts of PPP tunnels, the tools and options available in RouterOS, and how to manage users and IP address pools.
Chapter 2: PPTP
Learn about the PPTP protocol, how it works, technical details and how to configure PPTP clients and servers in RouterOS.
Chapter 3: L2TP
Understand the L2TP protocol, how it works, technical details and how to configure L2TP clients and servers in RouterOS.
Chapter 4: PPPoE
Know the PPPoE protocol, its operation, technical details and how to configure PPPoE clients and servers in RouterOS.
Chapter 5: SSTP
Gain knowledge about the SSTP protocol, its connection mechanism, how to work with certificates, and how to configure SSTP clients and servers in RouterOS.
Chapter 6: OVPN
Discover the OVPN protocol, its characteristics, how to work with certificates and how to configure OVPN clients and servers in RouterOS.
By the end
Upon completion of the MAE-VPN-PPP course, students will be trained to configure and manage PPP tunnels on RouterOS, such as PPTP, L2TP, PPPoE, SSTP, and OVPN.
Additionally, they will understand the advantages and disadvantages of each type of tunnel, as well as their practical applications in professional network environments.
