Course Objectives
This MikroTik advanced level IPv6 course, MAE-IP6-AVN, is designed to take your IPv6 networking skills to new heights. You will learn about extension headers, IPv6 security, transition mechanisms and tunnels, as well as dynamic routing.
By completing this course, you will be better prepared to meet the challenges of implementing IPv6 in complex, high-security network environments.
Chapter 1: Extension Headers
In this chapter, we will explore extension headers in IPv6, allowing students to understand how they work and how they influence network traffic.
By mastering this topic, students will be able to better manage IPv6 networks and ensure optimal performance.
Chapter 2: Security in IPv6
Security is essential in any network, and this chapter focuses on teaching students how to properly secure IPv6 networks.
They will learn how to configure and maintain an IPv6 firewall, apply IPsec, and address IPv6-specific security challenges.
Chapter 3: Transition Mechanisms
This chapter focuses on transition mechanisms in IPv6, helping students understand how to implement and configure solutions such as Dual Stack, tunneling, and other transition methods.
With this knowledge, you will be better prepared to manage networks transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6.
Chapter 4: Tunnels
Tunnels in IPv6 are essential to ensure connectivity between networks, and this chapter teaches students how to work with different types of tunnels, such as IPIPv6, EoIPv6, GRE6, and PPP IPv6.
By learning how to configure and maintain these tunnels, students will be able to manage more complex IPv6 networks.
Chapter 5: IPv6 Dynamic Routing
In this last chapter, dynamic routing in IPv6 is presented. Students will learn how to configure and maintain dynamic routing protocols such as RIPng and OSPFv3.
With this knowledge, they will be able to efficiently manage IPv6 networks and ensure optimal network performance.
By the end
Upon completion of this advanced level course, students will have a deep knowledge of IPv6 and its implementation in MikroTik networks.
They will be able to configure and maintain secure and efficient IPv6 network solutions, as well as understand and apply various dynamic routing and transition mechanisms.
In addition, they will be prepared to face more advanced technical challenges in the field of IPv6 networks.
