Course Objectives
In this TCP/IP Architecture course (NAE-TCP-A01), our main objective is to give you a solid and in-depth understanding of the principles and fundamentals behind the TCP/IP architecture.
We will focus on how to design and implement efficient and secure solutions using this architecture.
Throughout this course, we will explore key topics such as packets, connections, datagrams, error control, flow control, layers, multiplexing and demultiplexing, names, addresses, DNS, and application design.
Chapter 1: Principles of Architecture
Understand the basic principles of the TCP/IP architecture, including packets, connections, datagrams, the End-to-End Argument and Shared Destination, as well as error control and flow control.
Chapter 2: Design and Implementation
Learn about the layers in the TCP/IP architecture, the relationship between WIRESHARK application fields and the protocol layers, and how multiplexing, demultiplexing and encapsulation are performed in layer implementations.
Chapter 3: Architecture and protocols of the TCP/IP Suite
Study the ARPANET reference model, multiplexing, demultiplexing and encapsulation in TCP/IP, port numbers, names, addresses, DNS, and Internet, Intranet and Extranet.
Chapter 4: Designing Applications
Acquire knowledge about the design of applications using client/server and peer-to-peer models, APIs, standardization processes, RFC, other standards, software implementations and distributions, and common attacks on the Internet architecture.
By the end
Once you have completed the NAE-TCP-A01 course, you will be equipped with essential skills and knowledge in the TCP/IP architecture.
You will be able to analyze and understand how the different protocols and components work within this architecture.
In addition, you will be able to design and implement efficient and secure applications using the client/server and peer-to-peer model, as well as become familiar with APIs, standardization processes and request for comments (RFC).
Finally, you will learn about common attacks on Internet architecture and how to protect your systems and applications against them.
