Course Objectives
The main purpose of the MAS-CAP (Introduction to CAPsMAN) course is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge about MikroTik's CAPsMAN system, allowing them to efficiently deploy and manage centralized wireless networks using CAPsMAN on RouterOS.
Chapter 1: Introduction
In this chapter, students will learn about CAPsMAN, its v2 version, and how to connect a CAP to CAPsMAN using L2 layer (MAC) and IP layer (UDP) connections.
Chapter 2: CAPsMAN Profiles
Participants will become familiar with the different configuration profiles in CAPsMAN, including Wireless, Datapath, Security and Provisioning. In addition, they will address the concepts of Local Forwarding Mode and Manager Forwarding Mode.
Chapter 3: CAPsMAN L2 and L3
In this chapter, students will learn how to set up a CAP and CAPsMAN, work with the Access List, and explore the differences between L2 and L3 in the context of CAPsMAN.
Chapter 4: CAPsMAN Virtual AP and Tunnels
Finally, participants will study the concept of Virtual AP, its configuration and how to use tunnels in a network managed by CAPsMAN.
By the end
At the end of the MAS-CAP course, participants will be able to configure and manage wireless networks with CAPsMAN, understanding the different profiles, connection modes and advanced features of the tool.
Additionally, students will have hands-on experience implementing CAPsMAN at L2 and L3 layers, as well as configuring Virtual APs and tunnels in network environments.
