Course Objectives
The MTCINE Course (MikroTik Certified Inter Networking Engineer) is a training program designed for those interested in obtaining advanced knowledge about networks and becoming experts in the implementation and configuration of MikroTik devices.
Throughout the course, various aspects related to routing, routing protocols and traffic engineering will be explored. The course is divided into eight main chapters, each with specific objectives:
Chapter 1: Introduction
Introduces the fundamentals of autonomous systems (AS) and the assignment of autonomous system numbers (ASN), both 16-bit and 32-bit, establishing the basis for understanding the importance and operation of BGP protocols in networking. .
Chapter 2: BGP Scenarios
It delves into different BGP routing configurations, including Single Homed, Multi Homed, Dual Homed, and their variants, offering a detailed understanding of how to handle traffic and route distribution in various scenarios through practical exercises.
Chapter 3: eBGP/iBGP
Focuses on the differences and applications of eBGP and iBGP, including the implementation of Loopback interfaces and multi-hop configurations, essential for effective BGP routing and network redundancy.
Chapter 4: BGP Attributes
Explains BGP attributes and their influence on route selection, covering aspects such as Nexthop, Weight, Local Preference, AS Path, and others, allowing students to manipulate these attributes to optimize routing and redundancy.
Chapter 5: MPLS
Introduces MPLS, explaining its architecture, header, and label stack, and how it facilitates the efficient transmission of packets over the network. Topics such as LDP and MPLS static label configuration are explored, with labs to apply the concepts.
Chapter 6: L3VPN VRF
It dives into Layer 3 VPNs and the use of VRF to segment and manage multiple virtual networks within the same device, including basic configurations and the concept of route leaking, complemented with practical exercises.
Chapter 7: L2VPN VPLS
Addresses Layer 2 VPNs and VPLS, discussing the configuration and operation of VPLS to emulate LAN services over wide networks, using both LDP and BGP, and providing hands-on labs for VPLS configuration.
Chapter 8: Traffic Engineering
Examines traffic engineering and its tools, such as RSVP and CSPF, for advanced optimization and management of traffic within the network, offering methods for configuring TE tunnels and automatic bandwidth adjustment.
Botton line
The MTCINE Course covers a wide range of topics related to routing, BGP, MPLS, VRF, VPLS protocols and traffic engineering.
Each chapter focuses on specific objectives and provides practical examples and laboratories to strengthen learning.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge necessary to become experts in deploying and configuring MikroTik devices in complex network environments.

Frequently Asked Questions about MTCINE
The MikroTik MTCINE (MikroTik Certified Inter-networking Engineer) certification course is an advanced training program designed for network engineers and information technology professionals who want to deepen their knowledge and skills in networking using MikroTik's RouterOS operating system. .
This course focuses primarily on advanced routing, especially the implementation and management of the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), one of the most important and complex routing protocols used on the Internet.
This course usually lasts 24 hours spread over several days, although this may vary depending on the teaching modality (in-person or online).
You must have good knowledge of subnetting, VLSM, OSI model, TCP/IP model, basic concepts of LAN networks, wireless networks.
Participants are expected to have experience configuring basic routers and using command line interfaces (CLI) to perform configurations and settings.
To take the MTCINE certification exam you must have passed the certification exam MTCRE
To become MikroTik MTCSWE certified, you must complete the certification course and pass a final exam. The exam is taken at a MikroTik-accredited exam center and consists of a theoretical test.
To take the MTCINE certification exam you must have passed the certification exam MTCRE
Obtaining MTCINE certification offers several benefits, including:
- Recognition as an expert in inter-network routing and BGP.
- Improving career opportunities in the field of networking and IT.
- Ability to design, implement and manage complex and scalable network infrastructures using MikroTik's RouterOS.
Have a MikroTik account (mikrotik.com) allows the student to officially register for the Certification Course they are taking (the final registration is done by the Trainer on the first day of class)
Additionally, the Certification Exam is taken through the MikroTik account and if passed, the digital certificate is deposited in said account.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020), MikroTik authorized all Trainers to give Certification Courses ON-LINE
However, the Certification Exam must be taken in person, except for the Renewal Exam, which can be taken remotely through the system. MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.
If it is the first time that the exam for any certification is being given, it must be taken in person in front of the Trainer, this is by MikroTik regulations since it is necessary to verify who the person is who is going to give the exam.
On the day of the exam, the Trainer will take a group photo with the students and upload it to the MikroTik portal in order to activate the exam. If the photo is not uploaded, the Trainer will not be able to enable the exam.
If it is a Renewal Exam, then it can be taken remotely through the system MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.
For renew Any MikroTik Certification can be done remotely through the system MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.
For more details on the MTCOPS remote exam you can access the following link: https://abcxperts.com/mtcops-mikrotik-certification-test-online-proctoring-system/
La minimum grade is 60% over 100%.
If between 50% and 59% is obtained, the student has the right to a second opportunity to take a new exam, which must be taken at that same moment.
There is no third chance.
As soon as the exam is finished, the system automatically displays the grade.
Additionally, within the account managed by each student in MikroTik (mikrotik.com), in the left menu of said portal you will find the option MY TRAINING SESSIONS where you can view all the courses you have taken with their respective notes.
To retake the certification exam, you only have to pay the exam fee.
