MTCOPS (MikroTik Certification Test Online Proctoring System)
What is MTCOPS
It is a system created by MikroTik that allows you to take the Certification Exams remotely
It consists of a Google Chrome extension that will share the student's screen during the exam, sending this information to MikroTik, to allow remote completion of the tests on the MikroTik.com training portal
How MTCOPS works
Google Chrome extension
- The student must install the extension (MikroTik Training) in Google Chrome.
- You can do so at the following link: https://mt.lv/mtcops
You don't want to use Google Chrome
If you don't want to use Google Chrome, we suggest using open source alternatives like Brave, which is a privacy-focused browser and supports the COPS extension or the “base” for all of them: Chromium
Login at MikroTik.com
- The student must log into his or her account at MikroTik.com and go to the section My Training Sessions to take the exam.
- At this point the student must click en Start remote test o click on the button Continue remote test
What the extension does
- Will record a video of everything the student does on their computer screen
- Se will record the audio through your webcam
- Se will log all open URLs while the exam lasts
Information destination
- All this information will be sent to MikroTik for further inspection
- Videos will be stored for up to 3 months
Availability of Remote Exams (OnLine)
- Remote Certification Exams (On Line) through MTCOPS for the moment only are allowed for certificate renewal
- Who are to expire their certificates, or have expired, you can access the Exams via MTCOPS
- Applies to all MikroTik certifications
