Course Objectives
The main objective of the MTCIPv6E (MikroTik Certified IPv6 Engineer) course is to provide participants with the necessary tools to understand and manage IPv6, the Internet protocol that allows the connection of devices on a global network.
The course is divided into six chapters that cover different topics related to IPv6, its protocol, its security, its transition mechanisms and its interoperability.
Chapter 1: Introduction
Introduces the basic concepts of IPv6, its history and the reasons for its creation. In addition, the main differences between RouterOSv6 and RouterOSv7 in IPv6 are described, and it is explained how IPv6 addresses are distributed. This chapter also discusses the different types of IPv6 addresses and their notation.
Chapter 2: IPv6 Protocol
It focuses on address allocation, including SLAAC and DHCPv6 PD Server and Client allocation. This chapter also describes the general properties of Neighbor Discovery, a protocol that allows nodes on a network to discover and communicate with each other.
Chapter 3: IPv6 Packet
It focuses on encapsulation and IPv6 header fields. This chapter also describes the different types of IPv6 header extensions.
Chapter 4: IPv6 Security
It focuses on IPv6 security. This chapter describes ICMPv6, Neighbor Discovery Protocol, and Secure Neighbor Discovery (SEND). Additionally, temporary addresses, IPv6 firewall, and IPsec configuration are covered.
Chapter 5: Transition Mechanisms
Analyzes the different types of transition mechanisms used to migrate from IPv4 to IPv6. This chapter describes the types of transition mechanisms, such as Dual Stack, Tunnels, 6to4 Tunnels, 6RD Tunnels, Teredo, and DS-Lite.
Chapter 6: Interoperability
Study the different types of tunnels used for interoperability between IPv4 and IPv6. This chapter describes IPIPv6, EoIPv6, GRE6, and PPP IPv6 tunnels.
Botton line
The MTCIPv6E course aims to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to understand and manage IPv6, from its history and reasons for creation to its protocol, its security, its transition mechanisms and its interoperability.

MTCIPv6E FAQ
The MikroTik MTCIPv6E (MikroTik Certified IPv6 Engineer) certification course is an advanced training program designed for networking professionals seeking to gain specialized knowledge and competencies in IPv6 implementation and management using RouterOS.
This course is aimed at those who already have experience with IPv4 networks and wish to expand their expertise to the field of IPv6, which is the latest version of the Internet Protocol designed to replace IPv4 due to the shortage of available IP addresses.
This course usually lasts 16 hours spread over several days, although this may vary depending on the teaching modality (in-person or online).
You must have good knowledge of subnetting, VLSM, OSI model, TCP/IP model, basic concepts of LAN networks, wireless networks.
Participants are expected to have experience configuring basic routers and using command line interfaces (CLI) to perform configurations and settings.
To take the MTCIPv6E certification exam you must have passed the certification exam MTCNA
To obtain MikroTik MTCIPv6E certification, you must complete the certification course and pass a final exam. The exam is taken at a MikroTik-accredited exam center and consists of a theoretical test.

Certification Benefits
- Professional Recognition: The MTCIPv6E certification is recognized in the networking industry and demonstrates a high level of knowledge and skill in IPv6.
- Skill Enhancement: The course expands the technical capabilities of professionals, allowing them to address the challenges of the next generation of networks.
- Career Opportunities: Certification can open doors to new job opportunities, promotions, and projects related to IPv6.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020), MikroTik authorized all Trainers to give Certification Courses ON-LINE
However, the Certification Exam must be taken in person, except for the Renewal Exam, which can be taken remotely through the system. MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.
If it is the first time that the exam for any certification is being given, it must be taken in person in front of the Trainer, this is by MikroTik regulations since it is necessary to verify who the person is who is going to give the exam.
On the day of the exam, the Trainer will take a group photo with the students and upload it to the MikroTik portal in order to activate the exam. If the photo is not uploaded, the Trainer will not be able to enable the exam.
If it is a Renewal Exam, then it can be taken remotely through the system MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.
For renew Any MikroTik Certification can be done remotely through the system MTCOPS implemented by MikroTik.

La minimum grade is 60% over 100%.
If between 50% and 59% is obtained, the student has the right to a second opportunity to take a new exam, which must be taken at that same moment.
There is no third chance.
As soon as the exam is finished, the system automatically displays the grade.
Additionally, within the account managed by each student in MikroTik (mikrotik.com), in the left menu of said portal you will find the option MY TRAINING SESSIONS where you can view all the courses you have taken with their respective notes.
To retake the certification exam, you only have to pay the exam fee.
To find out the price, contact your sales agent.
Each student receives a RouterOS level 4 (L4) license.
You must access your MikroTik account (mikrotik.com) and then go left side to the option MAKE A KEY FROM PREPAID KEY
No. Each MikroTik certification must be renewed independently.
This means that to renew the MTCIPv6E certification you must retake the MTCIPv6E Certification Exam.
It is not mandatory to retake the MTCIPv6E course. You can take the certification exam directly when it is a renewal.
