Course Objectives
The main objective of the 'Docker Container with RouterOS (MAs-DOC)' course is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to deploy, manage and optimize Docker containers in a MikroTik RouterOS environment.
This will allow technology professionals to manage applications and network services in a more efficient, versatile and secure way.
Chapter 1: Introduction
Introduce students to the fundamental concepts of Docker Containers and their relationship with MikroTik RouterOS.
- Understand what a Docker Container is and its architecture.
- Compare Docker Containers with Virtual Machines.
- Learn about the implementation of Docker Containers in MikroTik.
- Perform an initial setup on RouterOS and a student PC.
Chapter 2: VLAN Implementation in L2Chapter 2: Container Structure and Configuration
Delve into the properties, configurations, and commands needed to manage Docker Containers in MikroTik.
- Understand the general properties of a Container.
- Learn specific Docker commands for MikroTik.
- Understand how to manipulate Environment Variables and mount volumes in Docker.
- Get familiar with Docker Images and the Pi-hole implementation.
Chapter 3: Container with Zerotier
Teach how to integrate and configure a Docker Container with Zerotier in MikroTik RouterOS.
- Understand what Zerotier is and what ports it uses.
- Learn the recommended configurations for the local network and Internet gateway in Zerotier.
- Perform a practical configuration of a Container with Zerotier.
Chapter 4: Container with Adguard Home
Introduce students to the implementation of Adguard Home through a Docker Container on MikroTik RouterOS.
- Understand the differences and advantages between Adguard Home and Pi-hole.
- Perform a practical configuration of a Container with Adguard Home.
By the end
Students will be prepared to implement container solutions in MikroTik RouterOS, optimizing the management of applications and network services.
