I can't access my MikroTik router with IP through WinBox. What could be the problem?

This can be for several reasons, one of these is that the Mikrotik equipment has blocking rules for access through WinBox or that the access port through WinBox is not the default port. For these two cases, you must check that the IP of Your PC is allowed to access the router through WinBox and verify which access port is configured.

In the event that there are no restrictions on the router for access through WinBox, you must check that there is IP communication between the PC and the Router, you can perform a ping test from the PC to the IP address of the router; Check that the PC's firewall or antivirus is not blocking the connection and verify that it is connecting to a port on the Mikrotik equipment that has some IP addressing configured.

  1. I have a problem with a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, it is main but 15 days ago it started to run out of credentials and I log in with the factory one, I reboot it and when it comes up it recovers the credentials, I don't see attacks or anything the only thing that stands out is that your CPU reaches up to 96%, I thank you from your experience for helping me

      Dear User,

This can happen because the router freezes and most likely it is because the computer is saturated with its CPU. To try to identify which process is saturating the computer's CPU, you should run the tool /profile based on that it can be detected what may be affecting it, now when this problem occurs it is because the computer may be being attacked, it suffers from a loop in the network or due to the use of some configuration that may be affecting the performance of the team either by configuring firewall rules (Filter rules, mangle, layer 7), queue tree, simple queue, queue type.

Good afternoon friend, I have my Stralyn internet device and something like this happens to me on my rb750gr3, that when there are about 15 users connected, the internet slows down and the network freezes, the Starlyn gives 70 megabytes to 100 megabytes to the mikrotik

          I understand,
There are several reasons why this can occur.
1.- That the provider is limiting the number of connections to avoid reselling the service.
2.- That there is a loss of route by default (small disconnections with the provider)
3.- That there is a firewall rule that generates these cuts or lags.
          4.- Problems with DNS Resolution.

Without knowing how it is configured or what the structure of the network is, these may be why these incidents may be occurring.

          Regards,

  2. I have a problem with my wAP, it doesn't even connect to me through Mac and they are just purchased, it appears for a moment in the winbox and disappears when it appears, I click on it to connect and it doesn't connect, it disappears again, 2 of the 4 apps I bought do the same same, reset to factory mode and it keeps happening

Access through layer 2 (MAC address) is unstable, so the problem you present is very common, especially if you do it via Wireless. It is equally unstable if you have the Ethernet interface and the wireless interface activated, for which it is recommended to deactivate one of the interfaces until you assign an IP address and can access through layer 3.

While it is true that there is ease of access through layer 2/MAC, that does not mean that it is the most appropriate or secure method for accessing a MikroTik device. MAC access is very useful when your device has been reset and none of its interfaces have an IP address. The proper procedure is that if you cannot enter by IP, I do it through layer 2, configure an IP and then proceed with access through layer 3.

This behavior IS NOT a failure of the devices or RouterOS, but rather a characteristic of layer 2 access.

  3. HELLO, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH A GROOVE52HPN THAT BY ERROR THEY CANCELED ALL THE INTERFACES AND PORTS AND I DO NOT HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH IT THEY TELL ME THAT I HAVE TO DO A RESSET BUT IT IS ANGO INACCESSIBLE, MY QUESTION IS: IF ONLY THAT IS THE OPTION, I HAVE TO PRESS THE BUTTON OR IS THERE SOME WAY I CAN DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

      Hello,

There are two ways in which you can reset the MikroTik device:

      1. Using the reset button that is located by the device's Ethernet port, you only have to turn off the device, press the reset button, turn on the device by connecting the network cable and keep pressing the reset button for about 10 seconds. I share a video link with which you can guide yourself:

      2. There is a second option to perform the reset which is by pressing with a screwdriver perhaps a small connection that is on the circuit board of the device, for this you will have to open the device. I share a video link with which you can guide yourself:

  4. Greetings, I have a mikrotik switch. I have 3 mikrotik routers connected but now it won't let me enter the mikrotik switch. In order to enter, I have to reset it to factory settings and put the bridge back in and after a few days it won't let me enter again. It can't be resetting the mikrotik. switch because I leave the clients without internet what can I do in this case I am connecting with the same factory range and I have tried pc

      Hello,
There are three possibilities why this may be happening on the MikroTik switch:
      1. The equipment is suffering from electrical problems, which causes the equipment to enter an inhibition state, so I would recommend checking the electrical connections, including the network patch cores, to rule out any type of electrical induction.
      2. The computer is suffering from a denial of service (DDoS) attack or some type of attack.
      3. The computer is saturated and this causes the computer's CPU to be at its maximum and this leads to the computer freezing (freezing).

      Regards,
