Course Objectives
The MAS-ROS (Introduction to MikroTik RouterOS) course is designed to provide students with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of MikroTik and RouterOS, and how they are used to configure and manage networks.
Throughout the course, students will gain practical skills for working with RouterOS, including basic router configuration, upgrading and downgrading a router, setting a password, implementing “Kid Control” in MikroTik, and administration of configuration backups, among other important topics.
Chapter 1: Introduction
This chapter introduces students to the world of MikroTik and RouterOS, including a discussion of RouterOS licensing, RouterBOARD product nomenclature, and a detailed description of supported architectures.
Chapter 2: Getting Started with RouterOS (Quick Set)
This section covers the basics of configuring a MikroTik router, including access options such as WinBox, WebFig, Telnet and SSH. Quickset configuration and how to upgrade and downgrade a MikroTik router are also covered.
Chapter 3: Basic Firewall
Firewall basics, Kid control implementation in MikroTik, packet flow and firewall filtering are discussed here. Advanced topics such as Source NAT and Destination NAT are also covered.
Chapter 4: Administration
This chapter focuses on managing configuration backups, using tools such as Ping, Traceroute, and Torch, configuring logs, and managing additional resources.
By the end
By the end of this course, students will have gained practical skills in working with RouterOS and will understand the fundamentals of MikroTik and how it can be used to configure and manage networks. Sign up today and become a MikroTik RouterOS expert!
